THE BEAUTY OF THE NILE RIVER

During ancient times,Nile river was subject to periods flooding that helped in providing irrigation naturally and also fertilizing the soil needed to grow crops. But,the flood could be very devastating and a dam was built to control it. Unfortunately, the dam
radically changed the ecosystem with silt
accumulating behind the dam and salt water from the sea causing erosion. Thereby making a Slit lake city to be built. Slit lake city is a "hydropolis" - a series of modular floating structures that take advantage of the rise and fall of the waters.
Agriculture, residences, businesses and energy
generators all float on the water and rise and fall with the tides. But,it still allows the river to provide life. Truly Amazing!.
